In 1965, we became the first real estate firm to enter the continent of Africa, opening an office in Nigeria in support of requests from UK multinational clients. Quickly following Zimbabwe’s and Botswana’s independence in 1979, the firm opened offices in these countries as well. Subsequently, the company has expanded into 10 countries with offices now employing over 600 staff.
As the only real estate firm with such an extensive and longstanding representation on the continent, over the last four years we have undertaken work in 46 of the 54 countries in Africa. Whilst each office is established as separate legal entities under the jurisdiction of their country, and has to operate within the statutes of their country, each complies with the professional standards set forth by London and by the RICS.
In addition to servicing numerous indigenous companies, institutions and private individuals, our network provides a flow of work from multinational companies and government bodies/embassies, including The US Department of State, The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, ExxonMobil, BP, Barclays Bank, Mitsubishi, Nokia, The Oxford University Press, United Technologies Corporation and more.
