Tim Westfall joined Newmark in September 2014 as a Managing Director in the Phoenix office, where he focuses on single-tenant, net-leased investments, including portfolio sales, merchant developer representation, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and sale-leasebacks. Mr. Westfall has been involved in more than 500 transactions totaling approximately $500 million in consideration.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Westfall was a partner at GDC/RE, a Phoenix-based retail real estate services firm. Mr. Westfall joined GDC/RE in 2010, after working at Metropolitan Real Estate for two years.
Among Mr. Westfall’s greatest assets are his analytical nature and ability to understand the multi-faceted approach to each transaction. His early-career leasing experience provides his clients with a unique perspective to net-leased investment strategies. He strives to develop long-term relationships with his clients that will ensure lasting success.

Education
Mr. Westfall attended University of Colorado Boulder for two years before transferring to Arizona State University, where he graduated magna cum laude and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business. He also spent a semester at the Florence, Italy, campus of Richmond, the American International University in London.
