Scott Lipinski joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2019 and serves as a first vice president and the Industrial/Logistics team leader for Michigan. Scott has more than 17 years of experience valuing a wide range of commercial property types and special land uses, including office, industrial, retail (ranging from small, single-tenant to regional shopping centers), mobile home parks, mixed-use developments, multifamily and student housing, conservation easements and eminent domain as well as a variety of other special-purpose properties. His appraisal and consulting experience includes report preparation for financing, estate planning, collateral monitoring, acquisition and disposition, and tax assessment appeals.
Prior to Newmark, Scott acquired diverse and extensive professional experience that included bank appraisal review, real estate evaluations, private equity backed real estate development and acquisition, social capital, and risk management consulting.

Education
Scott earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in real estate from the University of North Carolina. He also holds a Master of Urban Planning degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. More recently, he successfully completed numerous real estate and valuation courses sponsored by the Appraisal Institute.
