Scott Gordon serves as a financial analyst with Newmark, where he focuses on complex real estate and financing transactions including acquisitions, value-add repositioning, joint ventures and development projects.
Mr. Gordon also specializes in distressed assets and recapitalizations in the Southeastern United States, the Caribbean and South America. His primary responsibilities include new investment discovery, underwriting and recapitalizations through sophisticated financial modeling, equity and debt sourcing and client relations.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Gordon worked on building the derivatives trading desk at J W Korth and Co. in Miami, Florida. He assisted with the firm’s initial transition from a strictly fixed-income broker-dealer firm to a full-service agency offering a broad array of complex structured products based on client risk profiles.
In 2011, Mr. Gordon was drafted in the MLS Super Draft by FC Dallas, where he played soccer professionally for three years in the MLS (Major League Soccer) and NASL (North American Soccer League). In addition to FC Dallas, he played for Chivas USA and the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
Mr. Gordon received a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance and real estate from the University of Miami. He also received a Bachelor of Science in international business from Lynn University.
