Scott A. Rand, MAI, joined Newmark Knight Frank’s Valuation & Advisory as a first vice president in 2018, when the firm acquired the Boston office of Integra Realty Resources.
Actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting since 1992, Mr. Rand currently focuses on major urban and suburban developments. He has performed valuations on property types including, but not limited to, office buildings, industrial buildings, neighborhood and community shopping centers, multifamily properties, special use properties and vacant land.
Mr. Rand’s special use assignments have involved the valuation of numerous institutional properties, including several college campuses. Additionally, Mr. Rand has completed valuations on many investment-grade properties as part of national portfolio valuations.

Mr. Rand earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts. More recently, he has successfully completed numerous real estate-related courses and seminars sponsored by the Appraisal Institute. He is currently certified by the Appraisal Institute’s voluntary program of continuing education for its designated members.
