Russell Rench, MAI, MRICS, joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2018 as a senior vice president in the St. Louis office. Over the course of his 32-year career, Mr. Rench has conducted appraisal and consulting assignments in 21 states and has acquired experience in a wide variety of property types, including hotels, apartments, warehouses, office buildings, shopping centers, manufacturing buildings, financial institutions, nursing homes and vacant land. His appraisals have been used for such purposes as sale or purchase, allocation of purchase price, condemnation, foreclosure, sale-leaseback, rental value, tax consulting and dispute/litigation. Other assignments have included appraisals of partial real estate interests, site selection studies and project feasibility studies.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Rench was appraisal director at Balke Brown Transwestern in St. Louis. He previously worked for more for than 10 years with Cushman & Wakefield, most recently as senior director in the St. Louis Valuation & Advisory office. Mr. Rench also spent 13 years as an owner of real estate appraisal and consulting businesses and worked as a review appraiser for a St. Louis financial institution.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Rench is an MAI designated member of the Appraisal Institute. He has served in various capacities with the association’s Greater St. Louis chapter, where he is the 2019 president and a regional representative. Mr. Rench is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a certified general appraiser in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
Education
Mr. Rench earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a specialization in finance from Southern Illinois University.
