Rhett Batanides serves as a director in Newmark’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. He was successful in acquiring the national account of Rocket Fizz, Icebox Cryotherapy and Total Row. Rhett was mentioned multiple times in Robert Powell’s (Undercover Boss) recently published book, for his work helping expand Mr. Powell’s company nationwide. He has overseen and completed a multitude of new locations across the country in each company’s expansion. He is also the owner of a retail concept in Downtown Charlotte. Recently, he joined Mitch Friedel’s urban retail leasing team, which leases large high-end developments.
As a landlord/owner representative, Mr. Batanides represents RL West, in the leasing of the 350,000-square-foot retail component of Langtree, a new mixed-use project in Charlotte, NC.
Mr. Batanides represents Hughes Investments, in the leasing of Bridgeway Station, in its 350,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Greenville, South Carolina.
Mr. Batanides represents GID, in the leasing of High Street, in it’s 400,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Atlanta, Georgia.
Also, Mr. Batanides represents Peterson Company, in the leasing of National Harbor, in its 400,000-square-foot mixed-use development in the Washington, DC market.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Batanides was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. As an aircraft commander, he flew multiple missions across the world, accomplishing various advanced directives of the United States DoD. A Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Captain Batanides earned multiple medals while safely executing an array of dangerous combat missions.
