Phil Brodkin joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2017 as executive vice president, managing director, responsible for overseeing the firm’s three Los Angeles offices. Based in the downtown office, Mr. Brodkin focuses on recruiting top talent, increasing market share and supporting the development of enhanced infrastructure. Mr. Brodkin has worked on both the brokerage side and client side of commercial real estate.
Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Brodkin served as a director of real estate at Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces. In this position, he was responsible for oversight of the firm’s strategic growth throughout the western U.S. He handled the expansion for approximately 1.5 million square feet of space for new Regus locations and managed the real estate for its portfolio.
Prior to Regus, Brodkin spent nine years at CBRE as a trusted advisor for both owners and occupiers of commercial office space. His work encompassed all aspects of landlord advisory, tenant representation and investment acquisitions.
Mr. Brodkin is a member of the Los Angeles Commercial Real Estate Association (LACRA). Active in his community, he is also a member Westcoast Sports Associates, a youth sports organization, and a founding board member of The Lilabean Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research.
