Michael Ippolito serves as a vice chairman in Newmark’s New York office. While at the firm, Mr. Ippolito has steered Newmark’s global platform based on an innovative methodology of corporate outsourcing, determining policy and procedures across service lines and across continents. With a keen understanding of global markets, Mr. Ippolito delivers strategic solutions to optimize corporate portfolios and reduce operating expenses.
Mr. Ippolito joined the firm in 1991 and has since developed analytical and strategic tools that brought real estate and operational strategy development into alignment with his clients’ core business objectives. As a result of his advancements, Mr. Ippolito has become one of the leading tenant representatives for global corporations, specializing in providing creative solutions for evaluating risk within growth strategies, measuring operational redundancies, analyzing consensus and developing operational efficiency metrics.
Mr. Ippolito’s track record of executing strategies for the development of his clients ranks him among the most successful global real estate professionals. Under Mr. Ippolito’s leadership, Newmark has been retained by numerous leading global organizations and has developed the firm’s portfolio base of 300 million square feet worldwide. Among his recent accomplishments, his clients include Avaya, DeVry, Morgan Stanley, Nokia Siemens Networks, Panasonic and Siemens Enterprise Networks.
Most recently, Commercial Property Executive featured Mr. Ippolito in its July 2012 cover story. Mr. Ippolito is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the Young Mens/Womens Real Estate Association. He has been a guest speaker at several industry events, including Crain’s New York Magazine Breakfast Series, Commercial Property News Real Estate Forum and International Real Estate Forums in Mumbai, Hong Kong and Madrid. He has also spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, regarding global corporate real estate issues and trends. Mr. Ippolito was among a select group of senior business executives chosen to be part of the 2011-12 Class of the David Rockefeller Fellows, a program designed to expose participants to key leaders and issues in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors of New York City, in order to take a more active role in shaping the city’s future. He was acknowledged as one of Real Estate Weekly’s (REW) Industry Leaders for 2010. Mr. Ippolito is a graduate of Boston University.
