Megan McLindon serves as a transaction services specialist in the Washington, DC, office of Newmark Knight Frank, where she focuses primarily on the marketing of office leasing assignments and leasing teams. Ms. McLindon brings to her position more than 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry in the Washington metropolitan area.
Ms. McLindon is involved in the development and implementation of marketing plans and budgets for both new construction and older projects for long-term stability in the market. Marketing campaigns for such projects include creative brochures/flyers, presentations, stacking plans, marketing banners/graphics, signage, websites, direct mailers and e-marketing. Ms. McLindon coordinates with owners, leasing agents, property managers and vendors, on the campaigns. She plans large events to introduce or re-introduce projects to the brokerage community and smaller, targeted events to establish and maintain relationships.
Additionally, Ms. McLindon provides landlords with market knowledge for the development of project budgets and investor reports. The reports generated for the projects include summaries of quarterly market reports, market outlooks, analysis of competition, regional economic data, prospect reports, market lease comps, and tenants in the market. Through Ms. McLindon’s experience with leasing teams in working with landlords and tenants, she has developed the essential skills to understand both sides of the lease negotiation process.
Prior to joining NKF, Ms. McLindon performed all of these duties and also participated on the national platform in the branding and execution of corporate marketing plans and initiatives. She has expertise in negotiating sponsorship opportunities in order to maximize exposure. She has also worked on creating tradeshow exhibits and their related marketing materials and has traveled to the host city while organizing private client/prospect entertainment events.
