Mark Russo joined Newmark’s New Jersey offices as the research manager in 2016. Mr. Russo leads all New Jersey- related research activity including trend analysis, market tracking and production of quarterly reports and statistics. As a member of the Newmark tri-state and national research teams, Mr. Russo provides essential support for New Jersey’s business development and contributes to the company’s thought leadership. His research is regularly quoted by news publications including the Wall Street Journal and Commercial Observer.
Mr. Russo has over ten years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, including investment and valuations. He came to Newmark from the Chicago headquarters of LaSalle Investment Management, a subsidiary of JLL. As a research associate, he tracked market conditions for all major property types across the Eastern US and the industrial sector nationally; produced reports and presentations to serve investment management and acquisitions; and contributed to client strategic plans and new business development.
Mr. Russo holds a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame. He is an active member of NAIOP.
