Mark P. Piazza joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2019 as an analyst in the San Jose office. Mark brings to his position more than 35 years of professional real estate experience which includes managing property acquisitions, leasing assignments, and contract negotiations and administration. He has successfully closed and consulted on more than one billion dollars in transactions since the start of his career. Mark’s real estate development background includes development and construction of commercial properties, creating and maintaining property operating budgets, financial analysis, due diligence reporting, managing tenant improvement projects, lease-up analysis and retention, and the negotiation of property rights and zoning. Strong interpersonal skills have allowed Mark to work with various government officials and departments, construction contractors and related real estate professionals to obtain approvals for development projects while meeting crucial timelines.
Mark worked on the Northern California Valuation & Advisory team in 2020 to help complete assignments worth over 67 billion dollars.
Mark currently serves as a teaching professor in the real estate department of City College of San Francisco. He previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield, Turnberry Associates, Meacham Oppenheimer and Coldwell Banker Commercial.

Mark is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in applied economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. He also holds a degree in accounting.
