Currently in his 24th year at Newmark Knight Frank, Mark Lockenmeyer focuses his efforts on sales and development. He has averaged over 30 leasing and sales transactions per year in office, R&D, warehouse and residential and mixed used development.
Mr. Lockenmeyer finished as a top producer of the San Mateo office in 1994, 1997 and 2001 and in the last seven years has remained one of the top-selling agents of commercial buildings and land in San Mateo County.
Over the last four years, Mr. Lockenmeyer has been focusing his efforts on value-added projects. Such projects have included restoring existing buildings to a higher and better use, addressing the changing needs of office/R&D, manufacturing and biotech companies, repositioning land and demolishing structures to office/R&D, residential and retail uses. In addition, he has put together several large assemblages of properties for office, residential and retail use. He has also assisted many owner-users accomplishing the goal of going from renter to owner. Mr. Lockenmeyer has assisted buyers and sellers through the myriads of codes, financing use, building permits and environmental issues to help with finalizing their transactions. His latest sale, located at 1080 South Amphlett in San Mateo, is currently under construction and consists of 81 townhomes.
Mr. Lockenmeyer has earned the respect of planners and council members throughout south San Mateo County for his professionalism during presentations and performing valuable research projects.
Mr. Lockenmeyer has been named president of the Harbor Industrial Association, a non-profit that works with San Carlos and Belmont on land use issues that affect property owners and tenants in the industrial areas for the past several years. The major issue is the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s acquisition of the CPI Eimac campus of 18 acres. Mr. Lockenmeyer was also named to the San Carlos Economic Development Advisory Commission which major agenda items included the General Plan Amendment and the marketing of San Carlos.
Mr. Lockenmeyer has also assisted many non-profit organizations in securing and selling real estate in the dynamic San Mateo County peninsula marketplace, including Pets in Need, Community Gatepath and Second Harvest.
In the rapidly changing Silicon Valley real estate market, Mr. Lockenmeyer’s experience and forward thinking strategies are invaluable.
