Marc Leber joined Newmark’s Retail Services in 2002 at the firm’s Manhattan headquarters. Leber possesses more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience and is focused on representing retail tenants and landlords throughout the New York Metropolitan area.
Some of the clients Leber has worked with in the past include Aeropostale, Oakley’s, MTV, Walgreens, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Jean Pierre Hair Salon, Gigi Café, SL Green, Forest City Ratner and Malkin Properties. In addition to his work as a tenant and landlord representative, Leber has completed investment sales transactions, and was involved in the purchase of the former primary ADT Security Systems New York location at West 16th Street, the sale of 114 East 27th Street, 212 East 49th Street, a portion of the 5th floor at 110 East 40th Street and the retail condos at 208 and 216 East 14th Street. In 2007, Leber was awarded the Real Estate Board of New York’s Most Creative Retail Deal of the Year for placing Walgreens at One Times Square, the building where the ball drops on New Year’s Eve.
Prior to coming to Newmark, Leber was affiliated with Garrick-Aug Associates. Before entering the real estate advisory field, Leber ran a family-owned construction business in the New York Metropolitan area.
Leber is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Board of New York.
Education
Leber earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
