As an associate in Newmark’s New York office, Mai Shachi focuses on landlord and tenant representation in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Mai currently works on behalf of several retailers, including Levain Bakery, Two Hands Australian Café and Walk-In Dermatology. She currently helps Levain Bakery with the brand’s expansion throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Mai also currently represents several landlords, including CIM Group, Clerestory Properties, Extell Development and Rockpoint Group.
Mai joined Newmark in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF, a New York-based retail real estate brokerage and investment firm. She began her career with RKF in 2017 as a canvasser in the firm’s New York office and worked to update brokers on new opportunities, prospect relevant trade areas and collect market information.
Prior to RKF, Mai was an intern during the summer of 2016 at Keller Williams Commercial, where she worked on an investment sales team, conducted lease analyses, drafted letters of intent and sourced new opportunities throughout Long Island and Manhattan.

Mai earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
