As the director of research for Newmark Knight Frank’s Denver region, Lauren Douglas analyzes market information and trends to provide clients with data-driven insights critical to their advisory and business development functions. Ms. Douglas brings 15 years of experience to the management of the region’s most comprehensive and historical commercial real estate database, ensuring the integrity of the information and providing essential products to support internal and external business decisions. She works closely with national and corporate research leaders to provide local thought leadership and analysis on impactful industry trends, while regularly contributing white papers, reports and articles and providing peer-to-peer interaction with researchers in both the public and private sectors.
Through Ms. Douglas’ participation, NKF Denver is a frequent contributor to leading local business publications and organizations including the Denver Business Journal , the Downtown Denver Partnership, Colorado Real Estate Journal , Colorado Business Magazine , Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Denver South Economic Development Partnership, Colorado Law Institute and Inside Real Estate News. NKF Denver’s statistics are used quarterly by more than 100 leading local and national industry leaders and real estate professionals, including appraisers, lenders, developers and economic development council members.
Ms. Douglas plays an active role in local initiatives and is a frequent participant at industry events. She was involved in the inaugural Real Estate Diversity Initiative, a joint venture of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Denver Office of Economic Development. Ms. Douglas is also a member of the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Economic Development Council and the NKF Research Council, and is a frequent speaker at the Denver South Economic Development Council.
Ms. Douglas joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2007 after working for more than six years in the Denver offices of Trammell Crow Company. She also has extensive experience in research, data analysis and information synthesis in the medical information, pharmaceutical and insurance sectors, having worked at several Fortune 100 companies in Manhattan.
Ms. Douglas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from The Ohio State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and Phi Beta Kappa.
