Kristine M. McLaughlin, MAI, joined Newmark Knight Frank’s Valuation & Advisory team in 2018 as a senior vice president in the company’s Stamford, Connecticut, office. A 23-year industry veteran, Ms. McLaughlin anchors the NKF V&A team in Connecticut.
Ms. McLaughlin has performed valuations on a wide range of real and proposed retail properties along the East Coast, including super-regional malls, outlet centers, lifestyle centers, and community and neighborhood centers. She has also completed assignments for smaller retail properties, such as big-box retailers, restaurants, banks, automobile dealerships and build-to-suits. Ms. McLaughlin’s expertise extends to office, industrial and multihousing properties, mixed-use developments and land. Her appraisals have been used in financing, acquisition analysis and portfolio valuation.
Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Ms. McLaughlin served for nearly 18 years as an appraiser with Cushman & Wakefield’s retail team, most recently as a senior director in the Stamford office. She previously worked for two years in C&W’s valuation advisory services department. Ms. McLaughlin began her career at C&W as a research analyst in the research services department.

Ms. McLaughlin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Connecticut. More recently, Ms. McLaughlin completed the requirements of the Appraisal Institute’s continuing education program. Her coursework included the following:
