Katherine Heflinger is an analyst in the Downtown Los Angeles office of Newmark’s Valuation & Advisory practice. Katherine is on a team with James W. Myers, MAI, and Miles Loo Jr., CRE, FRICS. She assists the team with the valuation of data centers around the world and consulting assignments related to Class A office buildings, super-regional malls, data centers and ground lease resets.
Katherine joined Newmark after a career in residential real estate. As a real estate agent, she worked with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants looking to buy, sell or lease houses in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Katherine also underwrote apartment buildings for investors looking to invest in multifamily assets.
Prior to her entry into the real estate industry, Katherine worked as a forensic engineer investigating vehicular accidents. In this capacity, Katherine supported analysis, reconstruction, computer simulation and trial presentation of vehicular case results.

Katherine earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
More recently, Katherine has completed the following Appraisal Institute courses: Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures, 15-Hour National USPAP Course, Supervisory Appraiser/Trainee Appraiser Course, and General Appraiser Income Approach Part 1.
Katherine has also completed ARGUS Enterprise Classroom Training.
