Katie Heflinger joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 in the Irvine office, where she currently serves as a Vice President for Newmark V&A’s Data Centers & Life Science Specialty Practice. In this role, she assists the team with the valuation of data centers around the globe and life science buildings across the United States. Heflinger’s experience includes consulting assignments related to Class A office buildings, super-regional malls, data centers, laboratories, and ground lease resets.
Heflinger joined Newmark after a career in residential real estate. As a real estate agent, she worked with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants looking to buy, sell or lease houses in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Heflinger also underwrote apartment buildings for investors looking to invest in multifamily assets.
Prior to her entry into the real estate industry, Heflinger worked as a forensic engineer investigating vehicular accidents. In this capacity, she supported analysis, reconstruction, computer simulation and trial presentation of vehicular case results.

Education
Heflinger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In addition to completing ARGUS Enterprise software training, Heflinger has also completed 285 hours of qualifying education to become a California Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
