Mr. Brierty joined Newmark Knight Frank in 1994 at its Manhattan headquarters. As a director, Mr. Brierty provides strategic relocation services and comprehensive, cost-benefit market analysis for his clients. Currently, Mr. Brierty focuses this platform of service within the Midtown and Midtown South markets, having completed projects that include the acquisition of a commercial coop for Refined Sight as well as the renegotiation and renewal of leases for Luceplan USA, Props For Today (100,000 SF), and the engineering firm Hazer and Sawyer (60,000 SF). Mr. Brierty has also represented media groups such as Interscope Records.
Mr. Brierty served as director of leasing in the DUMBO market, where he was responsible for marketing and managing a portfolio that included over 3 million square feet. During his tenure as director of leasing, he negotiated and closed leases with tenants such as ABC Carpet and Home, The Associated Press, The Brooklyn Historical Society, Empire Insurance Company, Jones Jones Larkin & O’Connell, LOOT, The National Student Nurses’ Association, Paychex, Voter News Service and Williams-Sonoma.
Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Brierty worked at Williams Real Estate Co., Inc., where he provided services to both tenants and landlords.
An active member of the charitable and professional community, Mr. Brierty is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York, Inc.
