Joey Vlasto joined Newmark’s New York office in 2007. Mr. Vlasto is responsible for international inquiries and the management of U.S. clients’ overseas projects. He is fluent in both French and Spanish and has extensive international experience across Europe in cross-border communication.
To date, Mr. Vlasto has represented a range of corporations worldwide in European, Asian and North American markets. He has coordinated the delivery of international real estate services to a diverse group of corporations including Aspentech, Avaya, Nixon Peabody, The Interpublic Group, Alcoa and OCO Global.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Vlasto was an international transaction manager for Atisreal, where he served as a single point of contact for Atisreal with their global alliance partners for all Latin American, EMEA and Asia-Pacific inquiries. His responsibilities also included managing and coordinating the delivery of international real estate services. During this time, Mr. Vlasto facilitated transaction and consultancy services for Telecordia Technologies, VaST Systems and Lionbridge Technologies, among others.
Originally from London, Mr. Vlasto graduated from Oxford University. Before joining Atisreal, he worked in Spain for Clifford Chance and for Reuters in their London office. Mr. Vlasto is highly experienced in international business and is a proficient communicator with proven problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Mr. Vlasto is an active member of CoreNet, where he is part of the national Emerging Leaders Group, BritishAmerican Business and the St. Georges Society of New York. He is also the Young Alumni committee representative on the board of the Oxford University Alumni Association of New York and is actively involved within the organization on a national and international level.
Mr. Vlasto is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of New York.
Mr. Vlasto earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees with honors in Modern Languages from Oxford University.
