Jimena Sayavedra joined Newmark in 2019 as an associate with the industrial group in Chicago, where she advises clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leases, build-to-suits and investment properties. She partners with Elise Couston, SIOR, to advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leases and investment properties.
Prior to Newmark, Ms. Sayavedra served as an associate advisor with Paine Wetzel and Associates in the sale and leasing of industrial properties. During her previous career as an urban planner, Ms. Sayavedra worked as a project manager for Stanhope Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in providing public engagement and community outreach services. She also held various consulting roles in Chicago and in External Relations at Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), where she gained extensive experience in regional planning, GIS, demographic and market analysis.

Personal Affiliations
Ms. Sayavedra is a director and past president of the Argentina Chicago Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds for building and renovating schools in impoverished rural areas of Argentina.
Education
Ms. Sayavedra earned a master’s degree in urban planning and policy with a specialization in economic development from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She is a fluent speaker of both English and Spanish.
Ms. Sayavedra lives in Chicago. An avid runner, she has completed 25 marathons, including the Chicago, Boston and New York marathons.
