Breck Lutz is Vice Chairman in the Walnut Creek office of Newmark. His business focus is a comprehensive, project-specific acquisition-leasing-disposition program for office buildings and full-service tenant representation both locally and in multi-market acquisitions and dispositions.
During his 33-year career in the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Lutz has developed a reputation as a dedicated, tenacious individual committed to the realization of his clients’ goals and his own. He has negotiated more than 1,600 sale, lease and sublease transactions totaling more than 20 million square feet valued at more than $2.5 billion.
Mr. Lutz is a 16-time Number One Producer at Newmark’s Walnut Creek office and a six-time Top 10 Producer for NorCal and member of the prestigious Newmark Chairman’s Circle. In 1999, Mr. Lutz received the Russ Thompson Memorial Award, honoring his personal integrity, peer respect and teamwork. In addition, he earned the 2008 Worn Shoe Award, which represents the most deals completed by an individual in the NorCal region.
Prior to joining Newmark in 1997, Mr. Lutz worked for 11 years at CBRE (formerly CB Commercial), where he was Rookie of the Year and a consistent top Producer in the region.
Mr. Lutz’s detail-oriented approach and creative and long-term perspective have earned him consistent repeat tenant representation assignments from some of corporate America’s most respected names. He has handled all aspects of asset management including acquisition, leasing and disposition.
