Erik S. Harris joined Newmark in 1995 at the firm’s Manhattan headquarters. During his career, he has provided real estate services to building owners and tenants throughout Manhattan’s commercial districts.
Mr. Harris has represented the owners of numerous prestigious buildings in New York City, including Broadway Management Company, Inc., ELK Investors, Government of Singapore Investment Corp. (GIC), Paramount Group, Inc., The Praedium Group, LLC, Samson Management Corporation, SL Green Realty Corporation and the Trump Organization. He was a member of the Newmark leasing team representing Paramount Group at 745 Fifth Avenue, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious properties in the Newmark portfolio; Mr. Harris and the team maintained an occupancy level of over 90% at the property. He was a member of the Newmark leasing team that served as exclusive leasing agent for 156 West 56th Street (CitySpire), which was owned by GIC. As its agents for over nine years, Newmark leased more than 300,000 square feet of space throughout its tenure and helped maintain an occupancy level of over 90%.
Mr. Harris has represented tenants from various disciplines, including Anchorage Capital Group, LLC, Arden Asset Management, Inc., GCA Savvian, LLC, I.D. Systems, Inc., J.C. Flowers & Co., LLC, Mane, USA, Sansar Capital Management, LLC and Yipes Enterprise Services, Inc.
Mr. Harris is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. In 2007, he was awarded Real Estate Weekly’s Rising Star Award for his numerous accomplishments throughout the previous year.
Mr. Harris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Communications from the University of Michigan, and is a member of the University’s Alumni Association.
