Eric Cagner joined Newmark in 2007. Working with President New York Tri-State Region David A. Falk, Mr. Cagner focuses on representing tenants and owners in Manhattan’s commercial districts.
Mr. Cagner has been involved with some of the more notable leasing transactions that have occurred throughout the tristate area in recent years. On the tenant representation side, he has represented such distinguished clients as 1stdibs, AdTheorent, Avon, Cerberus Capital Management, Codecademy, DraftKings, eBay, Essence Digital, FBB, Fluent Inc. Huntsworth Health, Intent Media, John Varvatos, Kenneth Cole, PepsiCo Global Real Estate, RVM Enterprises, Tube Mogul and Yume Inc., to name a few.
On the landlord side, Mr. Cagner has represented such notable clients as Mitsui Fudosan (1251 Avenue of the Americas), Fisher Brothers (299 Park Avenue), Madison Realty Capital (Brooklyn portfolio), JEMB Realty (75 Broad Street, One Herald Center), HSR Corp. (386 Park Avenue South, 503 Broadway), NYRT (1440 Broadway, 200 West 41st Street), Jamestown Properties (325 Hudson Street) and 590 Fifth Avenue (Thor Equities), to name a few. Mr. Cagner was also intricately involved in the successful lease-up of such assets as: 450 Park Avenue/Somerset Partners, 530 Fifth Avenue/Jamestown Properties/Rockwood Capital, 130 Fifth Avenue/Olnick Organization and 490 Broadway (Kaufman Organization).
Mr. Cagner was awarded the 2016 Tri-State Senior Managing Director of the Year and was selected as the recipient of the 2013 Aaron Gural Award, a distinguished honor determined by his peers. In 2007, Mr. Cagner was selected by Real Estate New York magazine as a Rising Star Under 30 and was featured in Real Estate Weekly’s Rising Stars issue.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Cagner was an associate with GVA Williams for three years, where he was the recipient of the firm’s Associate of the Year award.
Mr. Cagner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Cornell University and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He currently resides in Woodbury, New York, with his wife, Lauren, and their children, Blake and Grant.
