Douglas A. Herold, MAI, is a senior vice president of the Pittsburgh office of Newmark’s Valuation & Advisory practice. Doug specializes in valuation and advisory throughout Western Pennsylvania. With experience than spans nearly 30 years, Doug has successfully completed appraisal and consulting assignments for a wide variety of properties, including office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily residences, student housing, hotels, industrial properties and vacant land. His valuations have been used for financing, litigation support, feasibility determination, due diligence support and estate planning. His clients have included banks and financial institutions, life insurance companies, law firms, developers and investors, corporations and government agencies.
Prior to Newmark, Doug served as a director for Integra Realty Resources. In this role, Doug was a key producer for the Pittsburgh office, specializing in investment-grade properties that included CBD and suburban office buildings, apartment complexes, shopping centers, industrial buildings and land development projects.
In addition to appraisals, Doug has provided expert testimony for ad valorem assessment appeals and general litigation and is qualified as an expert witness in the Courts of Common Pleas in Allegheny and Erie counties; and the Board of Assessment Appeals in Allegheny, Beaver, Blair, Butler, Centre, Erie, Indiana, Mercer, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

Education
Doug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate from The Pennsylvania State University. He has also successfully completed numerous real estate and valuation courses and seminars sponsored by the Appraisal Institute, accredited universities and others.
