David Hardcastle joined Newmark’s Washington, DC office in 2010 as an associate before quickly being promoted three times to Managing Director. He specializes in Not for Profit tenant representation, market research, financial analysis, and lease negotiation in the Washington Metropolitan area.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Hardcastle consulted for Not for Profits on various USAID projects in Africa and Afghanistan as a consultant in the Washington, DC headquarters. At Chemonics, Mr. Hardcastle was part of a team that was responsible for winning $800 million in the new business, facilitated contract closeouts, and property dispositions for an $80 million project and backstopped 29 field offices in procuring vehicles, infrastructure, logistics, and other essential project equipment.
With Newmark, Mr. Hardcastle has provided full tenant representation services to an array of clients from strategic planning to final lease review and construction management services. His strategic planning services, which includes the workplace solutions team at Newmark, has allowed his clients to reduce on average 11% of their overall space footprint saving his clients’ money. In addition, he has become an effective negotiator for non-financial issues resulting in his clients receiving flexible leases that include expansion and contraction options in addition to favorable renewal and termination clauses.

Mr. Hardcastle is very active with a not-for-profit group, Club Hero, where he helps develop advocacy projects targeted to help vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa at local grade schools in Maryland.
Mr. Hardcastle graduated from Arizona State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
