Craig Slosberg is a senior managing director with Newmark Knight Frank Retail in New York City. Mr. Slosberg’s key responsibilities include representation of property owners and investors, to develop and execute leasing strategies optimizing asset valuation. He also represents retailers and consults with them on their retail strategies and site acquisition processes. Mr. Slosberg has strong knowledge of property management, operations and marketing to better assist clients with overall goals.
Mr. Slosberg has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with an extensive range of project types. Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, he was an executive vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he established the firm’s New York City retail brokerage division. During his tenure at JLL, the New York retail team grew from four to 16 brokerage professionals. Relationships with JLL Global offices were promoted and successful intra markets referral business implemented.
In the past decade, Mr. Slosberg has executed more than 400 leasing and sales transactions for tenant clients, including HSBC Bank, Amalgamated Bank, Dishes, Havwoods International, Jubilee Market, Kamakura Shirts, Key Food Supermarket, Luke’s Lobster, M.Y. Safra Bank, McDonalds, Nordstrom, Porcelanosa, Shinola, The ChangeGroup, Spa Belles and Westside Markets.
On the landlord side, Mr. Slosberg’s recent clients have included American Express, Barclays Bank, Jack Parker Corporation and the Seavey Organization. He also oversees the Samson Management retail portfolio in the New York Metropolitan area. Other landlords that Mr. Slosberg has represented include Equity Residential’s portfolio of 25 luxury buildings in the New York City market, S.L Green, Aetna Properties, Assa Properties, BLDG Management, Columbia University, Empire State Realty Trust, Forest City Ratner, Memorial Sloan Kettering, StoneHedge Partners and The Trump Organization.
Mr. Slosberg began his career at Grenadier Realty Corp, where he became a vice president, responsible for managing and leasing the firm’s 1 million-square-foot New York metropolitan commercial portfolio.
Mr. Slosberg is a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York. He serves on the Real Estate Board of New York’s (REBNY’s) Stores Committee and its Retail Advisory Board and previously acted as membership chair. He is also a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York (YM/WREA).
Mr. Slosberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oswego, where he studied business. He furthered his studies in real estate finance at New York University.
