Cliff Cummings joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2017 and currently serves as a vice president at the firm’s Washington, DC, office, where he focuses on commercial investment sales. Mr. Cummings has seven years of experience in commercial real estate, including real estate investment banking, acquisitions and development.
Prior to joining NKF, Mr. Cummings was an acquisitions and development associate at Monument Realty, a Washington, DC-based developer, where he pursued office, retail, multihousing and mixed-use properties as well as development and redevelopment opportunities throughout the DC metro area. Prior to his work at Monument, Mr. Cummings was a principal and head of acquisitions for W3 Partners, a real estate private equity fund based in the San Francisco Bay area, where he led the acquisition of over $100 million in value-add office and flex properties in the Bay Area and Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining W3 Partners, Mr. Cummings worked at TanneryBrook Partners, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based Real Estate Investment Banking firm, where he focused on CMBS warehousing and commercial and residential debt workouts for institutional clients. Mr. Cummings began his career with Edgeview Partners, a boutique mergers & acquisitions investment banking firm based in Charlotte.
Mr. Cummings earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University, where he majored in economics and markets and management studies and minored in classics.
