Vice Chairman Chris Mongeluzo has been with Newmark since 1993. Building upon his legal background, Chris has earned a reputation as an expert negotiator and tenant representative, bringing numerous large and complex Manhattan and national office leasing transactions to completion. Early in his career, Chris’ superior tenant representation enabled him to become the youngest executive managing director in the history of Newmark, and Broker of the Year nationally in 2019. In addition to securing locations at excellent rates with growth and flexibility, Chris provides long-term strategic planning services for his New York and national clients.
Since the start of his career, Chris has completed more than 1,000 tenant representation assignments.
Chris is considered one of the foremost real estate advisors to law firms in New York City. He has represented such prominent firms as Chadbourne & Parke LLP, Davis Ward, Phillips & Veinburg (Canada’s largest law firm), Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, Epstein Becker, and Green P.C., Goodwin Procter LLP, Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, Jackson Lewis LLP, O’Melveny & Myers, Paul Weiss, Squire Sanders & Dempsey, and White and Case LLP, among many others.
Chris is also the national representative for Live Nation/Ticketmaster, which currently occupies more than 1.5 million square feet in approximately 168 office locations nationwide. As the exclusive representative for Live Nation since 2006, Chris has completed over 2 million square feet of transactions in more than 150 deals nationally.
Chris’ recently completed deals include, but are not limited to, 550,000 square feet for Paul Weiss at 1285 Avenue of the Americas; 530,000 square feet for Debevoise & Plimpton LLP; 225,000 square feet for Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP; 300,000 square feet for Norton Rose Fullbright at 1301 Avenue of the Americas; 170,000 square feet for Live Nation at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles; 400,000 square feet for Horizon Media, Inc. at One Hudson Square in New York City, in three separate transactions; 130,000 square feet for Ticketmaster at The Lot in West Hollywood, CA; 125,000 square feet for Elliott Management Corp at 40 West 47th Street; 71,000 square feet for Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP at 30 Rockefeller Plaza; and 30,000 square feet for OrbiMed at 601 Lexington Avenue.
Other previous noteworthy transactions include 125,000 square feet for The Related Companies L.P. at 423 West 55th Street in New York City; 52,000 square feet for Maxim Group at The Chrysler Building; 50,000 square feet in various transactions for Brown Shoe Group at 156 West 56th Street; and a 50,000-square-foot deal on behalf of Wheels Up for its corporate offices at 601 West 26th Street.
Some of Chris’ other prominent clients have included CIT, Citibank N.A., CKx Entertainment, Gotham and Hamptons Magazine, ING, Net Jets/Marquis Jet Partners, SFX Entertainment, Steve Madden Ltd., Caleres Shoe Group and Westwood One.
Notably, Chris represented Citihabitats, Inc., from its inception, completing its first 500-square-foot office and continuing to complete deals for the company as it grew to occupy 19 offices around the city. Owner/CEO Andrew Heiberger then sold the company to Cendant due to its comprehensive rental activities and strategic retail and office locations throughout New York City.
Chris’ work on behalf of toymaker Hasbro for 120,000 square feet at 28-40 West 23rd Street earned him the Real Estate Board of New York’s award for the Most Creative Retail Deal of the Year.

Affiliations
Chris is a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York. He is the President of the Jack Martin Fund, which just celebrated its 67th anniversary, raising $36 million for Mount Sinai Hospital to further its progress for human health through education, research and technology. He is on the council of Advocates Board at Mount Sinai Health Systems. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Real Estate Board of New York.
Education
Chris received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami in 1993 and his Bachelor of Science degree in economics at the University of Michigan in 1990.
