Chris Becker is a senior managing director at Newmark. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Becker formed Tuxedo Partners Investments to focus on opportunistic equity investments and acquisitions, primarily in the real estate industry, following the $1.8 billion sale of CRT Properties Inc. to DRA Advisors in 2006. At CRT, formerly called CRO, Mr. Becker was a key member of the Crocker executive team that replaced the legacy management of Koger Equity, Inc. in 2000. Mr. Becker and the CRO team grew the portfolio to 137 office buildings, with 11.7 million square feet of space in 12 Southeastern cities. Mr. Becker served as the Atlanta division executive where he led the acquisition of several landmark properties including the 805,000 sf Ravinia III building and the 500,000 sf Atlantic Center Plaza.
