Chris DiBitetto joined Newmark in 2016 as an associate director at the company’s McLean, Virginia, office. Mr. DiBitetto brings to his position more than five years of experience representing both landlords and tenants in leasing and sales transactions, property dispositions, strategic planning and advisory services. He specializes in advisory services for corporate tenants, associations, asset managers, fund advisors, and ownership and investment groups. His primary market of focus is the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Chris is licensed in both Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. DiBitetto worked at the Tysons Corner, Virginia, office of Colliers International, where he was a brokerage associate. Prior to commercial real estate, he gained valuable experience as a legal assistant for a prestigious Manhattan-based law firm, as well as for the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As an undergraduate, Mr. DiBitetto completed internships with a Republican senator and representative on Capitol Hill and worked for two years as a production intern for a nationally syndicated political radio program. He also worked as a legislative assistant for the Washington, DC-based lobbying firm, Capitol Counsel, where he conducted research and authored memorandums for corporate clients on legislation relevant to the healthcare and the pharmaceutical industries.

Professional and Personal Affiliations
Mr. DiBitetto is actively involved with BUILD Metro DC and is currently serving as the co-chair of that organization’s associate board. Through entrepreneurship-based, experiential learning, BUILD ignites the potential of youth in under-resourced communities and equips them for high school, college and career success.
Mr. DiBitetto earned his master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University in 2013. His capstone thesis, Sovereign Wealth Funds: Encouraging Foreign Investment in U.S. Real Estate, was published by The Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate and earned him international recognition within the industry. Mr. DiBitetto also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University.
