Executive Managing Director Chris Cowan specializes in urban infill and suburban land sales for multifamily and mixed-use product types, and equity placement for these developments. Mr. Cowan, who joined Newmark Multifamily in 2003, has been involved in over 145 land transactions with a total consideration in excess of $842 million. Mr. Cowan, in strategic partnership with Vice Chairmen Terrance Hunt and Shane Ozment, also works on the disposition of Class A multifamily assets in metro Denver. He is widely seen as a leader in his market with an unprecedented amount of knowledge relating to land brokerage, development and equity placement.
In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Cowan was awarded the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties’ Top Land Broker distinction. Mr. Cowan was named Broker of the Year at the 2017 Denver Business Journal and DMCAR Heavy Hitters in Commercial Real Estate Awards, as well as being named Top Producing Land Broker 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019. He has served as President and Past President and, currently, serves on the Board of Directors for DMCAR.
