Brian Masenthin, CMI, joined Newmark Knight Frank Valuation & Advisory in 2019 and currently serves as a director in the Southeast Region of the firm’s Property Tax group. Based in the firm’s Atlanta office, Brian focuses on advising clients on property tax and valuation matters and growing the Southeast market.
Throughout his career, Brian has assisted clients in all phases of the assessment review and appeal process. This has included pre-acquisition due diligence, budgeting, assessment reviews and appeals, informal negotiations with assessing officials, and presentations before formal boards of review. He has been the client relationship manager on multiple national property tax engagements, managing both real and personal property portfolios.
Brian’s industry experience covers multiple sectors: complex industrial manufacturing, warehouse, retail shopping centers, senior living, hospitality, multifamily, office and others.
Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Brian was the Southeast regional director for Property Tax Counselors, LLC. He previously served as national director of property tax for CBIZ Property Tax Solutions. Prior to CBIZ, he served at DuCharme, McMillan & Associates, Grant Thornton, LLP and Ernst & Young.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in real estate from Georgia State University.
