Bob Douglas is an executive managing director with Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Bethesda office. As a 23-year real estate veteran, Mr. Douglas is primarily responsible for management and oversight of the conventional production group and the overall relationship management with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, including structuring and negotiating transactions, as well as process and product improvement initiatives.
Previously, Mr. Douglas spent 10 years as the Freddie Mac product manager at Newmark predecessor firm Berkeley Point Capital (BPC), where he coordinated the loan process from origination through closing and training in all facets of the Freddie Mac product lines. He was also responsible for program loan committee participation and approvals. Prior to that, he served as BPC’s product manager for various bank products, including conduit and bridge lending, after spending several years managing the prescreen process for the Bethesda office platform. This included management of the team responsible for initial loan sizing, analysis and structuring for all Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans that originated in the Bethesda office. Mr. Douglas began with BPC in the underwriting department, where he spent three years.

Mr. Douglas received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Maryland.
