Bill Tanker serves as a director with Newmark Knight Frank’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Bethesda office. Mr. Tanker focuses primarily on the origination of FHA-insured multifamily and healthcare loans. He also originates Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and CMBS loans. Mr. Tanker brings to his position more than 30 years of public and private sector experience in FHA, GSE and CMBS financing.
Mr. Tanker joined Newmark Knight Frank’s predecessor firm in 2016. He previously served in a number of positions with various FHA and GSE lenders, including vice president of originations at Oppenheimer Multifamily Housing & Healthcare Finance; head of FHA production at both CapitalSource Mortgage Finance and Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage; senior managing director at AMI Capital; and assistant manager-production at the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
Mr. Tanker earned a Master of Arts in Public Administration degree from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
