Benjamin Scott joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 as a senior analyst in the Cleveland, Ohio, office. Mr. Scott brings to his position broad experience in several aspects of the corporate real estate industry, including valuation, development and transactions. He focuses particularly on retail and industrial development.
Prior to Newmark, Mr. Scott worked as an appraiser for two years at CBRE, where he researched and drafted appraisal reports for commercial real estate valuations and provided exceptional service to clients that included financial institutions, investors and owner/users. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Scott was a project manager with a Cleveland-based real estate developer and a legal intern for the Cuyahoga County Land Bank and the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.

Mr. Scott holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in addition to a Master of Urban Planning and Development degree and a graduate certificate in real estate development and finance from Cleveland State University. Mr. Scott previously graduated cum laude from CSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
