Andrew Margolin joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2016 as an associate director in the company’s New York headquarters, where he works with Executive Managing Director Matthew T. Leon on tenant and landlord representation throughout New York City.
Mr. Margolin is responsible for new business development; strategic planning; marketing and branding; financial analysis’ and the execution of creative real estate solutions on behalf of tenants and owners. Currently, he handles leasing at Carnegie Hall Tower (152 West 57th Street) and 387 Park Avenue South on behalf of TF Cornerstone. Working with NKF’s leasing team, he has improved the rental rates at 387 Park Avenue South by more than 80% and significantly enhanced its tenant credit and profile.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Margolin worked at Savills Studley and the Kaufman Organization. He has handled tenant representation assignments on behalf of a broad range of companies, CRRC North America, DMS Governance, Entrepreneur Media, Eureka Capital, Greystone & Company, Kimelman & Baird, Novogradac & Company, Security Industry Specialists, Sicart Associates, Storyful and Vested.
At Kaufman Organization, Mr. Margolin was the leasing agent for 27 West 24th Street. He helped reposition the asset as one of the most prominent properties in the Madison Square Park submarket, achieving rents more than 20% above the pro forma and attaining more than 97% occupancy. Because of the building’s successful leasing campaign, the asset was sold at a profit of approximately 65% only two years after its initial acquisition.
Mr. Margolin earned his Master of Science degree in real estate with a concentration in finance and investment from New York University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College.
