Andrew Garten is the director of research consulting for the Kansas City and St. Louis offices of Newmark Grubb Zimmer. His duties include verifying the compilation of market statistics for retail, office and industrial properties; creating and managing lease administration portfolios; producing market and specialty reports; and working with management and salespersons to provide market intelligence to clients. Numerous municipalities, real estate directors and investors have retained Mr. Garten to perform such research services as socio-economic analyses, demographic trade summaries, business intelligence profiles and market feasibility studies for office, industrial and retail space.
Mr. Garten’s relationship with Newmark Grubb Zimmer started in 2002, when he began an internship lasting throughout his college career. He moved into a full-time position within the research department in 2006.
Mr. Garten graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and Spanish. While attending the university, he was a recipient of the UMKC Trustees’ Scholars Full-Ride Program Scholarship. He also received the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key, awarded to the senior graduating with highest cumulative grade point average from the UMKC’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management.
