Andrew Connolly has more than 12 years of commercial real estate experience working with national retailers, property owners, developers, and regional retailers. A native New Yorker, he has an intimate knowledge of New York’s metro area and the retail industry. He also has an astute understanding of national retail business development and brand expansion strategies.
Andrew has worked with an impressive list of tenants, including 2nd Street USA, Bank of America, Camper Shoes, Claire’s Jewelry, FIKA Espresso, Harbor Freight Tools, JoS. A. Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Kendra Scott, Paulaner Brauhaus, PNC National Bank, Sixpoint Brewery, Southern Tier Brewing, TeaGschwendner, Vans, Verizon Wireless, Victoria’s Secret and Victory Brewing. Additionally, he has brought several European and Japanese tenants into the U.S. market, for both their first New York location and to implement key elements for their U.S. national expansions.
On the landlord side of the business, Andrew has a number of prominent clients, including, including Heller Realty, Hubb NYC, Kenmore Associates, Muss Development, Palmer Square, Premier Equities, Sherwood Equities, SJP Properties, Stagshead Reality, United Land Development, Wharton Properties, Worldwide Holdings and Young Woo.
Andrew joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF. Prior to RKF, Andrew was a managing director in the retail group at Grubb & Ellis. In this role, he helped create the strategic national rollout model for Harbor Freight Tools’ national expansion, which brought the company from 400 stores in 2012 to well over 1,000 stores in 2019.
