Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark announced that BNC Holdings Group, LLC, dba Quick Mount PV, the leading manufacturer of waterproof mounting systems for rooftop solar systems, completed its acquisition of 2700 Mitchell Drive in Walnut Creek, CA. Seller Agilent Technologies, Inc. (Agilent), the world’s premier measurement company, will lease back the 133,600 sf office and industrial building on a short-term basis while the company finalizes its relocation. Tyler Epting of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark’s Walnut Creek office represented BNC Holdings Group in the transaction. Mike Zylstra of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark’s Walnut Creek office, together with Steve Kapp of the firm’s Hayward office, represented Agilent.
In May of 2011, Agilent acquired scientific-equipment maker Varian, Inc. As a part of this transaction, Agilent also acquired the firm’s office and industrial property at 2700 Mitchell Drive, which proved to be redundant space and was prepared for sale.
Quick Mount PV currently has operations in Concord, CA. Founded in 2006, the company has grown by more than 70% each year to meet the rising demand of high quality, cost-effective, waterproof solar mounting systems. Quick Mount PV’s new headquarters at 2700 Mitchell Drive will more than accommodate its anticipated growth which is being fueled by the continual expansion its product line and its exploding customer base.

The 73,000 sf Children’s Hospital sale at 2401 Shadelands Drive, which closed in August of 2009 and also coordinated by Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark, was the last significant sale in the Walnut Creek Shadelands.
