Newmark is pleased to announce that 30-year commercial real estate veteran Andrew Hopkins, RPA, has joined the firm as Director of Management Services for Ohio. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Hopkins will be responsible for overseeing Newmark’s third-party asset management portfolio, encompassing more than 9.3 million square feet of commercial real estate.
In his role, he will implement best practices, policies and procedures to maximize the value of clients’ real estate assets, as well as provide expert knowledge in management and operations, including expense reduction, strategic and forward-thinking solutions for property operations and staffing. Hopkins will also be responsible for asset management business development to maximize the growth and profitability for the region.
“Andy’s experience and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset to our property management team as we continue to grow our business across the state of Ohio,” said Jim Clark, executive managing director of Newmark’s Columbus office.
Prior to joining Newmark, Hopkins served a number of property management roles for JLL, CBRE and most recently, Cushman & Wakefield, where he led the Asset Services division of Columbus. In his former role, Hopkins was responsible for ensuring best-in-class service delivery to institutional and private equity investors while maintaining corporate profitability objectives. Throughout his esteemed career, he has gained invaluable knowledge from his experience in international consulting, multi-market management, strategic outsourcing, account leadership of owner-occupier and institutional asset ownership assignments and brokerage support to a central Ohio-based, two million-square-foot, Class A office portfolio.
Hopkins received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a Certified Real Property Administrator (RPA) and is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Ohio.
