Newmark today announced that it has been awarded the leasing assignment for 900 16th Street, NW. Designed by world-renowned Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the timeless design incorporates an elegant lobby, expansive tenant-only fitness center, and secure bike storage facility. The ground-floor restaurant, Mirabelle, features contemporary French fare from James Beard Award-winning chef, Frank Ruta and offers an outdoor patio as well as a private dining room. Recently sold to Oxford Properties, the new 127,600-square-foot corner office building has approximately 30,000 rentable square feet of space available, encompassing the entire second, third and partial fourth floors.
“Oxford continues to believe in the DC market, and the exceptional caliber of 900 16th Street combined with its unparalleled location, access and amenity package make it especially attractive to us as owners and to tenants of the property,” said Chris Mundy, Senior Vice President, Oxford Properties.
Situated at the corner of 16th and Eye Streets, NW, the building sits prominently one block from the White House in the heart of DC’s Golden Triangle. It is within walking distance to four Metro stations, numerous dining options and is adjacent to two of DC’s most prestigious luxury hotels, the Hay-Adams and the St. Regis. Newmark’s Brendan Owen, Rafael Notario and Morgan Monroe will handle the building leasing.
“We are pleased to continue our working relationship with Oxford Properties on this iconic new building,” said Owen. “900 16th Street is off to a terrific start with Miller & Chevalier as the lead tenant of the building and we look forward to filling the remaining vacancy in short order.”
