Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) is pleased to announce it has been selected by Chestnut Holdings as the exclusive office leasing agent for the Radio Wave building at 49 West 27th Street. NGKF Senior Managing Directors Bernard Weitzman and Eric Cagner will manage leasing for the building.
The Radio Wave building is rich with history. Its namesake comes from Nikola Tesla, the father of alternating current electricity, who experimented with radio waves when he lived in the building. The eighth floor of the building, containing 8,800 square feet, is coming to market. The space features original exposed brick, hardwood floors throughout, a new pantry, new air conditioning and an exposed ceiling. The building’s lobby is also set to be renovated.
“The Radio Wave Building’s roots are in technological innovation and the eighth floor office has been fully modernized with state of the art features,” said Weitzman. “When you combine that with NoMad’s rapid transformation into one of the hottest destinations for office space, you have an ideal location for TAMI companies.”
“Midtown South’s revival makes 49 West 27th Street a premier location for New York office space,” added Cagner. “With convenient transportation options and new high-end retail constantly coming to the neighborhood, NoMad is one of the most visible and attractive districts for progressive businesses.”
