Newmark announces National CineMedia’s (NCM), America’s Movie Network, lease of 63,000 square feet at the Cascades Building at 6300 South Syracuse, recommitting its headquarters operation to Denver. Located in Denver’s Southeast Suburban (SES) submarket, west of I-25 at the southeast corner of East Caley Avenue and South Syracuse Way, the seven-story premium office asset affords convenient local and regional access. Newmark’s Jim McGrath and Tom Pappas represented NCM in the transaction.
“As the largest cinema advertising network in the U.S., NCM has also evolved to a progressive, integrated digital media company that reaches movie audiences wherever they may be. We knew we needed a space that reflected that evolution,” said NCM CEO Andy England. “Moving to a modern headquarters with an innovative interior design that matches our company culture and vision will enable a more collaborative environment, and allow us to attract and retain top Denver talent.”
NCM’s Noovie pre-show, seen on over 20,600 screens in 1,700 movie theaters throughout the U.S., leads audiences to what’s new in entertainment, including great content from the Walt Disney Studios, Sony Music Entertainment’s Rumble Yard, ABC Networks, Amazon, Google, Hulu, Nintendo, NBC, Toyota, Turner Broadcasting System, and more, along with national, regional and local advertising. Noovie gives fans a reason to arrive early to discover what’s next, and will soon go beyond the big screen with new Noovie digital properties that deliver entertaining content, purposeful commerce, and interactive gaming opportunities for movie audiences.
“Our first project with NCM was over eight years ago when we helped restructure its existing lease and significantly reduce costs. As part of that negotiation, we were able to add a flexibility lever that permitted NCM to exit the lease early,” noted Jim McGrath, executive managing director at Newmark. “This option allowed NCM to be nimble and responsive as the marketplace changed and seize an opportunity that presented itself.”
Newmark identified a space recently built out by a previous tenant which included brand new furniture, allowing NCM to make the move while saving significantly on up front capital costs,” added Pappas, managing director, Newmark.
NCM’s new headquarters space, with its optimal location and convenient access to Interstate 25, the Arapahoe at Village Center Light Rail Station, Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater and numerous nearby area amenities, appeals to today’s modern workforce. NCM has assembled an architect team utilizing Architect Studio B2SJ to provide space-programming services and build out. The company plans to move into the new space by June of 2018.
