Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark (C&CCNewmark) today announced Mark McNally has joined its Walnut Creek, Calif., office as a senior vice president. A 29-year veteran, he will continue to service clients in the San Francisco Bay Area’s East Bay market.
McNally, most recently a senior vice president with Cassidy Turley, has successfully represented area tenants in securing space throughout the East Bay market, including Coca-Cola (25,000 sf and 22,000 sf), AssetMark (48,000 sf), Salesforce.com (55,000 sf), Sara Lee Corporation (55,000 sf), EDS (75,000 sf), Sun MicroSystems (85,000 sf) and Technicolor (a 715,000-sf development facility and a 415,000 build-to-suit). He also brokered some of the most significant dispositions, including the disposition of Wachovia’s 500,000-square-foot portfolio, Cisco Systems’ 150,000-square-foot campus, Venture Corporation’s 80,000-square-foot development, and Lucky Stores’ 50,000-square-foot headquarters sale.
“I am looking forward to serving my clients with Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark’s expanded platform of services,” said McNally. “As the dominant firm in the East Bay, C&CCNewmark is plugged into the true pulse of the market with visibility into transactions as they happen. Access to this accurate and real-time market information is an invaluable resource that will allow me to best inform and advise clients.”
Upon graduation from University of California, Berkeley McNally began his commercial real estate career with Norris Beggs & Simpson, where he was a top producer and became a sales manager within a few short years. He remained following acquisitions by The Galbreath Company and later LaSalle Partners/Jones Lang LaSalle through 2005, when he joined BT Commercial as a managing partner. McNally shifted to full-time production after its merge with Cassidy Turley in 2010.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mark, one of the best in the business,” said Tom Fehr, managing director of the C&CCNewmark Walnut Creek office. “His ability to interface between parties on behalf of his clients, and simplify a complicated transaction, is a valued skill. Mark champions the Cornish core values of integrity and knowledge; he is a great addition to the team.”
