Harrison Abramowitz


Harrison Abramowitz serves as a director in the New York office of Newmark Knight Frank, where he specializes in the representation of both owners and tenants in retail leasing transactions. Mr. Abramowitz brings to his position more than nine years of commercial real estate experience in the New York market.

Mr. Abramowitz has and continues to represent national and local retailers expanding throughout New York City. Recently, Mr. Abramowitz helped the CVS pharmacy chain negotiate a lease for 10,000 square feet at 387 Park Avenue South. He was also a member of the team that secured 19,000 square feet for CVS at the iconic Brill Building in Times Square. He is currently actively expanding several emerging brands, including Candid Co., which he is negotiating deals with around the country. He is also working on a New York roll-out and national expansion plan for Japanese cosmetics company Shibuyala, having negotiated its first Manhattan store last year.

On the landlord side, Mr. Abramowitz represents some of New York City's largest institutional landlords, including Extell Development Company, Cohen Brothers, L&L Holding Company and SL Green as well as private investors and co-op boards. He is currently marketing more than 35,000 square feet of retail space on behalf of Extell Development, as its exclusive agent across various projects. Mr. Abramowitz's agency experience includes representation of Solil Management, in a deal with Build-A-Bear adjacent to the Empire State Building on 34th Street; and representation of Harlington Realty Co. at 103 Fifth Avenue, in a deal with UNTUCKit for its flagship New York store.

Mr. Abramowitz was recently named one of Real Estate Weekly's 2019 Rising Stars, having already been named one of Commercial Observer's Top 30 Leasing and Sales Brokers Under Age 30 in 2016 and a CoStar Power Broker in 2017. Mr. Abramowitz has also been named one of Newmark Knight Frank's Rising Stars every year since 2016, and he was elected national president of the group by his peers in 2016/2017.

Mr. Abramowitz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
