Jared Lack

Managing Director

Jared Lack joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2005 at the firm’s Manhattan headquarters and specializes in representing real estate developers and landlords as well as national and local retailers. Mr. Lack is a director of the National Retail Group and has over six years of experience in all facets of commercial real estate.

Mr. Lack is an extremely valuable tenant representative, working extensively with Le Pain Quotidien, an international bakery and communal table eatery, to plan and implement their expansion throughout New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Connecticut. Additionally, he represented Darden Restaurants’ The Capital Grille for their new 17,000-square-foot midtown location and their 16,500-square-foot downtown location in New York City, as well as other tenants such as Fossil, Aldo Shoes, and New York Sports Clubs. Mr. Lack also represents local restaurateurs such as Elettaria, Portuga Group, Diablo Royale and Allen & Delancey.

Equally adept at marketing, Mr. Lack has extensive experience with both new developments and existing buildings in Manhattan owned by some of the city’s most high-profile real estate developers and independent landlords. Mr. Lack recently helped re-position over 14,300 square feet of retail space at 25 West 45th Street by replacing two local tenants with the national tenants Chipotle and Federal Express. Additionally, Mr. Lack is currently representing a 51,000-square-foot retail space at 170 Amsterdam on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. His clients include American Continental Properties, APF Properties, Extell Development, DVL Incorporated, Highgate Holdings, The HK Organization, Magnum Real Estate, New York University and Goldman Sachs.

Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Lack managed private partnerships involved in the development, leasing and managing of various commercial, retail and residential properties, and worked in residential real estate sales and leasing in New York City. Before entering the real estate services field, Mr. Lack worked with Lehman Brothers in New York City. He also worked for a private biotechnology firm in Houston, Texas as a division manager in charge of retail sales, marketing and project management for retailers such as The Home Depot and Sam’s Club.

Mr. Lack is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Mr. Lack graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A in Economics and also earned an M.B.A. at The University of Texas, where he concentrated in Finance and Marketing.
