Historic downtown Birmingham lofts sold

Blach's Lofts

The Blach’s Lofts, a mixed-use, 24-unit urban asset, includes 4,900 square feet of commercial space.

Newmark Knight Frank Multifamily today announced the sale of The Blach’s Lofts, a mixed-use, 24-unit property which includes 4,900 square feet of commercial space.

Birmingham-based Senior Managing Directors Justin Uffinger and Bo Flurry represented both the seller and buyer. The property was sold by CECA Holdings to FarrisMarie Properties, both of Birmingham. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Located in downtown Birmingham, The Blach’s Lofts were built in 1912, but has several updates such as stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, wood cabinets and improved lighting.

“There is a relatively small number of historic lofts in the downtown Birmingham submarket and this combined with Shipt’s announcement of a new headquarters and the growing restaurant scene within blocks of the property allowed new ownership to acquire a trophy asset in a premier location and ride the momentum in Birmingham’s (central business district)," Uffinger said.
