The wildfires that devastated Sonoma County in 2017 have had a lingering effect on the market, yet there are strong signs that a recovery is underway. Valuable housing stock is being replaced: 182 units have been completed, 841 units are under construction, and another 275 units are undergoing the permit process. In Northern Santa Rosa's Airport submarket, Basin Street has two proposed office developments totaling 56,769 square feet, and Airport Business Center has two proposed new office buildings of 20,000 square feet each. In Rohnert Park, Laulima Development's Station Avenue Project will deliver 595 new housing units, 130,000 square feet of creative office space, 120,000 square feet of retail space and a 150-key boutique hotel that will complement the hotel development at Graton Resort and Casino.
